Welcome to The Quilt Branch day on the 10 Days of Holiday Prep Blog Hop! Getting ready for the holidays can be daunting, but I love this time of year. I'm putting up the tree, hanging the stockings, wrapping presents, and baking cookies so there is always something to offer anyone who happens into my kitchen. My best friend and I have been making our Christmas cookies together for 40 years! We started when there was 1 child between us. Now there are 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren. We sometimes made 15 varieties, sometimes 8. We sometimes did it over 2 days, sometimes on one very long day. We have even done it over the internet so the adult children and the grandchildren can join in the fun. Three of the children even had their own Cookie Day while at college together. I'm pretty sure it's really about being together and enjoying the company. The cookies are just a sweet addition. Candy Cane Cookies are our favorite. Here's the recipe so you can enjoy them too.
Be sure to check back each day to get recipes, patterns, and helpful tips for Holiday Prep
